The cactus is a shining example of how something can thrive despite existing in some of the harshest conditions. An entity so vital to its ecosystem, the cactus knows its value and protects itself against anything keen on destroying it. A picture of beauty and life triumphing through hardship and trial.

This piece is shining and warm to welcome the celebration that is the month of September when both my daughter and I were brought into this world. The birth of my daughter marked the beginning of a new season of triumph after surviving the trial that came before. Love and light!

Taylor is a mixed media artist who favors acrylic, oil, and spray paint. She is inspired by Texan imagery and vibrant colors like the fiery pink and orange hues that light the sunset. Her painting style might be described as controlled chaos.

With wild and striking elements conveyed as a balanced and intentional final piece, her art is representative of her story. Although her personal journey to the “final piece” is one that is constantly evolving, the chaos and hardship of her past have pushed her to finding the peaceful joy that is “blossoming” today – in life and in her art.
