When asked about the benefits of hiring a designer versus DIY, Kelly emphasizes both practical and emotional advantages: “While design shows make it look easy, an experienced designer brings deep knowledge of space planning, materials, and trusted contractors.
We help clients avoid costly mistakes and actually save money by getting things right the first time. Plus, we manage all the details and coordination, turning what could be an overwhelming process into an exciting journey.” Kelly’s approach to understanding clients’ needs is highly collaborative. “I start by having clients share photos of spaces they love and asking detailed questions about how they use their rooms.
Sometimes, clients know exactly what they want but need help executing the vision. Other times, they’re uncertain, and we work together to discover their style through conversation and carefully curated options. My job is to listen carefully and translate their wishes into beautiful, livable spaces.”
For Kelly, the most rewarding part of interior design is seeing the joy on clients’ faces when they see their transformed spaces. “There’s nothing better than watching someone walk into their newly designed room and seeing their eyes light up.
Whether it’s a busy mom finally getting her dream kitchen or a couple creating their perfect entertaining space, helping people fall in love with their homes again is incredibly fulfilling.”
