Design today goes beyond aesthetics—it’s about creating homes that enhance well-being and balance. Wellness-centered design is leading this transformation. Through biophilic elements like natural materials, soothing colors, and organic features such as light and greenery, we connect homeowners to nature. Another exciting aspect of this trend is incorporating wellness-promoting areas into the home. This could include a drink station in the kitchen or an aromatic steam shower in the bathroom. These thoughtful choices restore energy, reduce stress, and promote genuine happiness. I love helping clients thrive in spaces that make them feel alive and inspired every day.
How do you stay inspired?
Inspiration comes from many places—nature, architecture, and my clients’ stories—but staying ahead in design requires continuous growth. I stay current by attending top industry events like KBIS, where I spoke on the importance of contractor collaboration. These partnerships are essential for executing complex designs seamlessly and ensuring success. Ongoing education through CEUs also helps me stay ahead of new codes, materials, and innovations, enabling me to offer clients designs that are both cutting-edge and reliable. In addition, one of my favorite magazines is Atomic Ranch, which focuses on mid-century modern design and continually sparks new ideas.
