Elizabeth Lyons Houston is a fourth-generation San Antonio hospitality leader and Vice President and Co-Owner of Los Leones, the family business behind some of the city’s most beloved and historic destinations, including Casa Rio, Schilo’s, Cool Crest Miniature Golf, and Broadway News. Carrying forward a legacy that began with her great-grandfather’s founding of Casa Rio in 1946, Elizabeth is passionate about honoring the places that make San Antonio distinctive while thoughtfully imagining what comes next. Her work spans hospitality, historic preservation, placemaking, marketing, and community advocacy, with a particular focus on keeping San Antonio’s iconic institutions relevant for the next generation. She is actively involved in efforts supporting the River Walk, tourism, the arts, and the broader San Antonio community. Above all, Elizabeth believes the best way to preserve a legacy is not simply to protect its history, but to continue creating stories worth telling – especially to benefit her family including her two sons who will make up the fifth generation of the family business.
