What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
After having the most fantastic wedding, we had a grand exit out to a vintage truck. Everyone was cheering and applauding, and we got to see everyone one last time before Patrick picked me up, and we said our final goodbye to all our friends and family. As Mr. and Mrs. Rios.
What was the most stressful part of your wedding day?
Nothing! I highly recommend doing Bridal portraits. I already knew what I was going to look like and how I would look photographed in my dress which made me feel so confident the day I was getting ready. I need to give a special shoutout to my fantastic “day of team” for making the day perfect: my mother, Joanna Wyckoff, my florist, and one of my bridesmaids,
Magen Sevilla, my mother-in-law Beverly Rios, my day-of Coordinator Debra Reece & venue coordinator Janice Riordan, because without them it wouldn’t have been so perfect.
What are/were your Honeymoon plans?
We had a mini-moon one-night stay at JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa the evening after our wedding night. We spent five nights at the Hard Rock Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic four days later.
What was your “theme”?
Hill Country Romance
Do you have any words of advice for brides-to-be?
Bridal portraits are so worth it. Most definitely have a day-of coordinator – they will be worrying about all the vendors, so you and your family don’t have to.
Did you have “His & Hers” Cocktails? What were they, and is there a story behind them?
Hers: “Spicy Rebel Margarita”: Rebel is our dog that we got one month after we started dating, and my favorite cocktail is spicy margs His: “Trigger Whiskey”: Trigger is our other dog that Patrick had when I first met him, and his favorite cocktail is whiskey and sprite
What was your first dance song, and why is it significant?
Diamond or Twine by Ryan Hurd. After our first date, Patrick knew I was the “one.” He played this song to me about three months into our dating, and we knew this song was our story.
